I agree with Stevie, our troops could help their own in their own country, they could make a number of military bases and training facilities near the border, and help guard the border.

When there was a nursing shortage, they imported nurses to work in hospitals and get a green card. There are jobs that illegals are willing to do, and not enough legals want to do.

I would give all illegals 6 months to register, and oust anyone who didn't. Registering unfair? So is being illegal and not paying taxes, and getting free medical care, etc.
 
The language spoken in Mexico is Spanish, not Mexican. A Mexican is a citizen of Mexico. We do not speak United Statesican, we speak English. This is one of the misconceptions that will make a person seem racist when they are not. I've found traveling and working with many races, that using the proper terminology goes a long way towards "Race Relations".
 
where i am,, its a huge issue, and most that cant speak english CANT speak english.I say abide by our laws,(1 of which is let us know your here) and its no biggie,, if you go to a hospital, and the hospital staff cant speak spanish, dont try to SUE them because they dont know YOUR native tongue. Can an american go to germany, and sue the authorities,the government, and so on if they dont have things written in MY language?.THE ONLY REASON illegals dont get a green card and work legally,, is so they dont have to pay the taxes, that in 94% of illegal immigrants ,, is what FEEDS them, takes CARE of them, and HELPS them sue us,,ohhh,, and so they can break the law, and be told to go home.

most people wouldn't know by looking at me... well the cubans can tell.. but the others seem to have trouble.. ANYWAY.. long story short... MY favorite thing to do is pretend to be white, and while other hispanics are telling their stories, or often at restaurants etc making snide comments in their own language.. I prefer to shoot back to them, in Spanish some nasty comments of my own, with a lesson or two thrown in

I just love to do that... hopefully they will remember to mind their manners in the future and that racism goes both ways

Until Manifest Destiny reared its head most of the United States belonged to other countries. Most of the Southwest was at one time part of Mexico.
 
Check this out. I live in the Keys and here are so many illegals, it's not even funny. Anyway, tons of Mexicans and Haitans are illegal right? However, the Cubans just float up and touch land and become legal. How fair is that? Anyway, Hatians and Mexicans hate the Cubans etc. It's a big mess. All the help in the Florida Keys is bussed in illegal immigrants. Except for the Cubans of course. They are awarded 13 benefits right when they touch land. NOT FAIR. It's just not fair to the other immigrants in my eyes.

Nope, there are plenty of legal citizens who are a drain on society. The numbers in post #23 specifically address illegals.

Welfare needs to be reformed, period. If you can't prove that you are actively looking for a job, or have a true medical reason for not being able to work, you get so much help and then that's it. Having a baby is not a blanket reason to give someone more money.

Also when you speak about a country you capitalize the first letter or all the letters if it is an abbreviation. It is America, US, or USA.

You are free to continue speaking your native tongue or the tongue of your ancestors, but the public language is english.

That's English with a capital G right?
