are lice seen at night & kinda off white in color or are they mites?

Hey, I never said it was less dangerous because it's a daisy. I just pointed out that it's not necessarily not organic

I happen to have some rather lovely organic nightshade in my back yard at the moment. LOL

Ewwww i hate those carpenter bees! we get them on/in our deck every year and it scares me to go out there cause they're just so......... BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once a mite has been sucking blood they are really easy to see. They will be red. It's easier see the bugs at night. JMO it would be hard to get rid of an infestatation with DE, unless you thoroughly clean the coop and bath ALL birds in Adams Flea and Tick Shampoo. Then dust them with DE. I would recommend spraying the coops with Adams Flea Spray. I certainly respect the non-use of pesticides, but sometimes it has to be used.

I have heard that DE is harmful to bees, so I don't put it in the garden to keep away slugs. Will it be harmful to bees once it has gotten wet and turned to mush?

I'll be sure to just dust the chickens and coop in the evenings so things settle down overnight.
