Are my babies pullets or cockerels? *Silver Laced Wyandotte Gender*

Well not really. If the tail is less of a bump and more straight I'd say she is a Brahma. If she has a Cochin's tail then she probably is a Cochin.

Her tail looks straighter than my blue Cochin but its hard to tell for sure because she is quite a bit bigger too. Her feathers are smooth rather than fluffy (more like my wyandotte's). My avatar is her when she was a chick. Does her coloring as a chick indicate which of those breeds she might be? I'm new to this so I appreciate the help.

Also, her feet are a LOT less feathered than my Cochin.

I'd say just go for a Brahma then if the feet are less feathered.

I was wondering why my two "cochins" looked so different from each other!

Thanks.

Brahmas have a pea comb (which yours has), Cochins have a single. It's a Brahma.

Thanks! I was trying to find some info about what different types of combs look like. Is there a good resource for a beginner to learn more?

We have four (9 weeks old) and they are the SWEETEST birds in our little flock. I think you'll be quite happy with them.
They are very pretty birds! After we first brought our chicks home, we were quite sure that Cutie (my daughter named her) wasn't going to make it. She was lethargic and didn't eat. She just let the other birds jump and walk all over her. We took special care of her for a few days and she got better quickly. Since she got all that TLC in the beginning she is very mellow and sweet. So glad to know what breed she actually is!
