Are my button quails both males?

What did you do for heat? I just have a 60 watt bulb in mine, and I'm not convinced its enough for day old chickens, much less day old quail.

I use 250 watt heat bulbs.Each brooder is 2'widex3'deepx18"hi.I have small pieces of luan to add to get the heat temp where it needs to be.After the 4th week I use 75 watt bulbs.I paint all my bulbs red in case someone starts bleeding,it makes it harder for the birds to see the blood.Then the 3rd week 60 watt,4th 40 and by the 5th 25 just for light.
