They look OK to me, but they feel pretty heavy.... How can I tell? They truly are a bunch of piggies!!!

Are my Barred Rocks and Australorps fat?

If I squeeze them - I can't get past the feathers. They are like throw pillows.

We should be able to hold them long enuf to get them on a produce scale but they are goin' be frightened - oh, dear

!

Here's what mine should weigh according to the standards:

Australorps hens: 6.5 lbs
Plymouth Rock hens: 7.5 lbs
