Are my dark brahmas hens or roosters? Tail feathers?

yes they are lighter in color for sure!!!! What does that mean?

Please keep in mind that sometimes you cant tell if its a roo or pullet until it's 6 months old or older. I had one that everyone said was a roo and then she started laying eggs

oh my goodness! The ones with tail feathers I feel like are girls however the ones without the tail feathers are lighter in color and generally smaller so this doesnt seem to make much sense but I feel like they are totally different and some are definitely girls and some are boys I just dont know which ones!!

i took my chicks to a poultry breeder today and he vent sexed them. the ones without the tail feathers sure were boys!! they were so nice they took them from me and they gave me a 3 week old black australorp and a 4 week old golden laced wyandotte! Yay thank goodness I no longer have roosters!
