Hi,
Just cracked some of my eggs for lunch and looking for signs of them being fertile. I previously tried to hatch under my broody a few weeks ago, but none were fertile. Please see pics and let me know if they are fertile. Sorry pics are a bit blurry. Thanks!
.. Oh and yes I have a rooster and cockerel, and 5 laying ladies together... Although I have seen my cockerel mount one of my pullets on her side so maybe he hasn't got the memo :idunno

Fertile! How old is your roo and how old is your cockerel?
Sometimes all of that fluff can "get in the way", you might want to check that too if you're having fertility issues. All of the pictured ones are definitely fertile though.

I worked out in another thread my roo was molting so maybe cause of infertility and he also doesn't allow my cockerel to mount the ladies, if he sees it.
Rooster is about 1.5 yrs old, Cockerel is 7 months old.
Last year my rooster did a fine job fertilising without any trimming but if it seems to be a problem I could do a little trim.
Pics... .Cockerel buff/blue/cream colour, rooster is a bit of all colours...
