Are my eggs OK to eat?

I wouldn't be afraid to eat the eggs. I have left some out on my counter for a month (unwashed) as a test and ate them. They were great. I think a lot of the eggs you buy in a store are probably around a month old when you get them from the store, but they have been refrigerated.
