One egg pipped early this morning so will hopefully be encouraged by the other chicks to hatch. Unfortunately, one egg probably stoped overnight because no peeps are coming from it and nothing has changed since yesterday. I will leave in the incubator until this evening, by then the pipped egg probably would have hatched.

the chicks have learnt to eat but not drink, when will they learn to drink. We have dipped their beaks in water but they haven't reacted to it at all.

They can survive for a couple days after they hatch without food or water so don't worry. Just dip their beaks in every once and a while and they will learn eventually. The fact that they're eating at all is a very good sign. Mine started drinking on their own today (about 24hrs after hatching).

I always dip everyone's beak in once about 12 hours after hatching and then about 24 hrs later if I haven't seen them drinking. Just a quick dip and set them down right away beside the water to swallow. You can also sprinkle some chick starter in the water and see if they go after it (as they can learn to drink that way too!).
