Are my eggs resting or have they died???

it seems that they are starting to get the grasp of things. the strongest ones are more adventurous than the smaller ones and the newly hatched. if i prod my finger in the water continuously they stare and sometimes peck at the chick crumb from the water. my guess is that my finger acts as the mama hens beak. i just hope the weakest and smaller ones get a chance at the water too.

Don’t worry - some of them need to rest - hatching is a big deal! And their bellies are full of yolk so they don’t need food or water yet... some will take a little and they’ll all peck - but they won’t get dehydrated yet! You’ll likely see more action tomorrow when they start getting hungry/thirsty.

now all of the chicks have hatched!! and some of them are in the brooder.

they are starting to drink so my guess is that when they are thirsty they will all go for the waterer.

I think the humidity got too low, do you think that they will still hatch?

My humidity got low too whilst hatching eggs, some people however do dry incubate their eggs so i think they should be fine.

Yes, they'll peck at each other and often direct this around the beak/eye area. This isn't a concern unless you notice damage from it. Just let the chicks do their thing
