Just had two duck legs, potato filling & gravy, coleslaw and chicken corn chowder for supper... What does that make me? Oh, yea...full! Lol

And the most effortless meat to raise. All you need is a boy rabbit, a girl rabbit, and plenty of grass.
Definitely. Rabbits are about as close to maintenance free as a critter can get.

I had my 11 y.o. GD here when it was time to make supper. So, I put her to work peeling potatoes. Then, I put her to work mixing up the meat loaf. She was appalled when I started setting stuff on the counter for her to put into the bowl. "Grammy, You don't put THAT in your meat loaf??? DO YOU???" And, we had home canned green beans. The mashed potatoes were made with Yukon Gold, Red Norland, and Adirondak Red. The white, yellow and red flesh mashed up real pretty! Home grown potatoes have to be among the tastiest veggies ever created. Such a difference between home grown and store bought. Kind of like comparing a cardboard textured tomato from the store with a home grown tomato!
I haven't had luck growing potatoes so far. Disappointing, I was looking forward to them.

Store tomatoes shouldn't even be considered tomatoes, I think.

Spuds are my favorite plant in the garden to grow! Just keep hilling them...that's the only trick I know. Can't let the spuds pop through the soil and get sunburned.
Maybe try SPF 60 instead?

I think I waited too long to plant them. It was a cold spring though, so I couldn't plant until way later than anything was supposed to be planted. I only got snow peas and some tomatoes.

Next year, I swear I will be better about my garden. I've said that for the past ump-de-ump years but I mean it this time. :old
