Are plastic playhouses/sheds too hot?

Alot of people have started converting little tykes playhouses and rubbermaid sheds into coops.

I am liking the rubbermaid idea as I think it may be more water proof than the playhouse.

Anyway does anyone know if these can be used safely in the heat and cold. I live in the northeast where we get both extremes. I don't want to prematurely roast or freeze my chickies!

I have figured out the ventilation issue. So I am now working on temps

There 2 layers thick with an air space between ant they. That should be at least some insulation.

I use a rubbermaid shed, but I'm in the mild Seattle climate, and the coop is in shade almost all day.
