Are purebred silkies that hard 2 find? (pics, Beware Dial-up users!)

just looked up sultans, how can you tell at such a young age between silkie and sultan as the sultans look like silkie with combs.....

Silkies have dark or black skin. Sultans don't. That's a base to start from. Silkies have dark or black feet/legs and five toes. Silkies have silkie feathers and Sultans have feathers. They're different.

So umm they're different, it's how you tell them apart? Silkie dark or black beak. Sultan yellow beak.

Details all count, all of them.

Your "silkie" has smooth feathers and virtually no silkie traits. I agree that they are probably sultans. The sultans skin color is different, plus they are smooth feathered and have different combs. As adults, there are many differences.

I think I have it, all of them are actually sultan/amerecauna and 2 purebred sultans. but one I have noticed has different wing feathers, they seem pretty ussless as they don't catch air very well. Could this be a silkie/amerecauna hybrid?

No, it's on the other side of town, and I don't have any compelling need to go there.

Sultans look a LOT like silkies, but with white skin.

Where do you go for chicks? They are the ones that sold me these mixed up chicks

. they are usually very knowledgeable but I noticed that the helper person thought that the amerecauna/sultans were frizzle cochin and amerecauna hybrids, Until a girl came and told him that they were actually silkies and silkie hybrids. Any thoughts? Could they be frizzle cochins?
