I spent way too much time reading here yesterday. I'm in FL, patiently awaiting my first quail eggs. I know the heat and humidity is hard on them but I had no idea that they didn't like to see chickens. My quail are on wire inside my duck and rabbit run. The chicken run is about 10ft away, in full view. I really don't want to move them. Has anyone had success when the quail see other animals?

I've not heard that they don't like to see chickens? I have some quail that are in a pen with young chickens, and for the most part they get along just fine.

I have some quail chicks in with some bantam chicks and they do just fine. I also have some older quail in the pen with my Peacock and they get along great also.

My quail are in the barn with chickens all around them, a pair of pigeons flying in and out, dogs and cats wandering around, and nothing phases them. Mine are Jumbo Coturnix, so it may depend on what breed you have, but mine take everything in stride.
