Sorry for this silly question...

Bu I just like to know if quails will breed like chickens do..

I mean if any breed can breed any breed and get some muts...

I being reading that some quail breeds are agresive ...

So this means that a Bobwhite male will not tolerate a femaly courtyx?

thank you guys for sharing your knowledge with all the newbies...like me

Bobwhite and coturnix usually do not mesh. Bobwhites tend to be a bit on the aggressive side. And yes hybrids/mutts do occur like in chicken breeding.

There are some cross breeds out there, but a bobwhite cock over a coturnix rooster won't get you far, but a coturnix rooster over a bobwhite hen gets you a bob bird!! You will get some crosses, but it is pretty rare. Housing different species of quail together is a bad idea because of aggression.

I only have Coturnix, but I understand that it is unwise to mix Bobwhite and Coturnix. Bobwhites are considerably more aggressive. On the other hand, there are many color varieties among Coturnix, so you can have fun breeding the different colors together.
