Are rose combs dominant or recessive?

I am just beginning to look at the possibility of creating a rose comb Marans...

I was answering the questioned asked. An R/r+ male is more fertle than an R/R one. Pea comb is another gene, and has not impact on fertility. Using a single combed cock will introduce the r+ allele back into the rosecombed birds and increase the fertility of the males (no fertility difference between R/R and R/r+ females.
