Are Russian Orloffs good layers, mothers?

I am considering getting some Russian Orloffs, but don't know a lot about them. Are they good layers? Will they set and are they good mothers? Sand Hill Preservation says "yes" Feathersite says "no". I'd like some information from somebody who has actual experience raising them, if possible. Thanks to all!
