Are silkies hard to get?

I hear a lot of people have trouble getting silkies. Is this true? They are fantastic birds, though!

Depends on if you want pets or show birds. Pet quality Silkies are very common, but the show birds are harder to find.

Not in my area - our local IFA has them right now. Quite a few actually.

They can be! in my area I finally found a place that will be getting them in...now I am just waiting...
