Are the eggs still good

Our neighbor brought a rir hen over last night and asked if we were missing a chicken. (They have a lot of chickens and at least 1 rooster). I dont know if its ours that went missing or not. Her back is pretty messed up and her comb and wattles are a lot bigger than when she went missing a week ago. Can a chickens comb grow like that in a week? She would be 22 or 23 weeks old if its ours.

Had she been laying when she disappeared? At that age the comb and wattles can grow significantly at POL.
Did they have her the whole time she was missing? Are you going to quarantine her?

Yes she was laying. She had started laying a couple weeks before she went missing. I'm assuming she was over there the whole time. I dont know. I didnt quarantine her. Should I have? Why would I need to quarantine her?

I wonder if the rest of the flock would recognize a chicken that has been away from the flock for a week or two. Did they accept her (back) into the flock, or start picking at her? If they accepted her without a peep, I would think she is yours. But being picked on doesn't necessarily mean she is not yours.

They will definitely recognize her but they may attack her for being away. I think it is about the health of the flock. They innately know that a bird that has been away may bring in disease.

Sorry, I don't see whether you answered how long the neighbors had her before returning her. Had she mingled with their flock for a bit and they just realized she wasn't one of their own? Or did they bring her back right away? Not that it matters really, just a little detail in the mystery of the missing chicken. ..

I'm pretty sure she is not mine. I had clipped all my chickens wings and this one does not have clipped wings.
As for accepting her, the chickens that grew up with her seem to be staying away from her, and the other rir keep attacking her. I put her in a small coop by herself. She is in the chickens yard, but separated in her own coop. We also just got an egg from her and it is not a young chickens egg. It's the same size as our 1 and 3 yr old hens.
