Are there any black breeds with white lacing?

But that's my point.

You mentioned the pic of the bird can start it, but really, the farthest you can go is a little more lacing but still just a poorly colored Birchen.

A number breeds and varieties started as poor examples of others.. so long as someone likes the result and continues to select for it whats the harm..

It would be a very interesting bird for sure!

I was experimenting with a few of my birds here trying to see if I could get a similar pattern, this is what I came up with....

She is getting more lacing on her chest as she gets older but its like reverse light brahma colors on her. Her mother is a frizzled light brahma/cochin mix and father was either a brown/red cochin or mottled cochin.

Most laced breeds just have Db(aside from the lacing gene ofcours) but the finest lacing found on sebright is due to Db and Co

I dont know about others but when I think of a laced bird I think of one that has a decent width of lacing. The birchen style of white laced black is too thin, if it was maybe 1.5 times wider it would look good.

I have a brown red oegb cockbird that has wider lacing in his breast, so I believe if you find the right bird, you could select for it and get wider lacing.
