Are there any black breeds with white lacing?

You want a pic? I have som every hard male line Birchen OE that the body of the hen is finely laced in silver... this will help with hackle and saddle striping of the males and can be breed for. By Body I mean breast, back, some on wings but not in primaries. I will try to get a oic this evening. They are a little different.

You mentioned the pic of the bird can start it, but really, the farthest you can go is a little more lacing but still just a poorly colored Birchen.

How can you and I know that? I mean NOBODY I know is working on them, so far that rooster is just lucky hatch.. but what if somebody actually put alot of effort on them? untill that happened and they just give up then I'll say how far can anyone go...

Does any of this have to do with the columbian type (allele) where all the color can be pushed out and that is why you can't have the opposite of that, meaning color put in and have white on the edges??? Am I making any sense? Because I don't even know how to ask the right question, lol!!!!

I do not believe you will find what you are looking for through the columbian gene. lacing is a pattern gene and different from the black restrictor columbian.
The birds I have are Birchen through and through just some of the hens are overly laced by selecting for males with broad hackle and saddle striping and mor abundant saddle feathers it begins to creap up the back some, so it is then also visible on some of the pullets and hens. I do have two such pullets close to POL back under thier father who will likely throw even more of this in teh resulting female offspring. but the Males will be something to talk about..

I just realized you are less than 1 1/2 hrs drive from our place... what breed are you working with? If I get some color cull pullets with lacing in the back and wings you would be welcome to them I only want to keep a few to keep the male line going while working on a female line as well.
