Are there any Houdans that look like the APA standard?

Here's mine. Whoopie wouldn't stay still, so probably not the best poses

I was thinking this morning, are Houdans considered bantams? They're definitely smaller than my standard sized birds, but not as small as my other bantams. One of my 'in the middle' birds

I have heard some people call them bantams. Mine are kind of in between too. Size is one of the things I am hoping to improve upon.

The reason you have heard people call them bantams is because there are a couple of line in the US that are bantam houdans. But like you said most of the LF are too small.

Yes, I am sure there are some but I have seen people post pictures of their bantam houdan hens that don't look smaller than mine. Course it is hard to tell from a picture.

Houdan hens are SUPPOSED to be six to seven pounds, which means if they are to standard they should be as big as any of the other dual purpose breeds. That's why I was suggesting adding some Dorking back in.

Yes, like I said, the problem with that would be finding some quality dorking that were actually up to the size they are supposed to be as well and then I wonder what color dorking should be used?
