Are there flowers chickens won't eat?

I have lots of shade in my yard so I grew impatients in pots. My chickens are eating them. Any suggestions for container plants in a shady area?

Depends how big your pots are. Camellias will tolerate shade quite well. I have one in a big pot and espaliered along the wire.

Mine love my Louisiana Irises. They eat the blooms the second they emerge. They do not bother butterfly bush, salvia, lantana, rosemary, mint, lambs ear. Do yours eat gaura?

I know this is an old post but I’m adding what plants have survived my flock of buff orps, barred rocks, GL Wyandotte’s, welsummers, Easter Eggers in Houston Texas area:

Lavender
Rosemary
Lantana
Butterfly bush
Mint
Oregano
Thyme & Lemon thyme
Crepe myrtle
Geranium (one Easter Egger would nibble at it but the rest didn’t bother it in a pot. Deer ended up eating it all though.)

The chickens & deer ate my Mexican petunia down to nubs. The chickens seem interested in sampling anything pretty, like petunias.
