Thank you so much everyone. I actually decided not to take these guys on and try to pick a cockerel out of the ones I have already.

I just couldn't come up with the space to do a proper quarantine...and my flock is so big, losing anyone because I can't quarantine properly isn't worth it.

A little sad, muffs and beards would have been a welcome addition!

You should try hatching eggs. I also do not bring anything older than a couple days older into my flock (and essentially those are quarantined because they need the heat lamp). Mainly we do hatching eggs though.

Almost getting these cockerels was a good reminder to stick to the plan and my flock goals!

I super hope in the future to be able to stick whatever fertile eggs I want under a broody. Though incubators are a fun experience as well...I think hen-raised chicks are more my style!
