A friend didn't want his chickens anymore due to predator problems. Two are RIR's but the other 4 look like Dominiques/barred rocks but have a single comb.

I finally got some pictures and I got looking and realized that the black spots I seen last time must of been dried mud/poop since they were roosting and their legs are more yellow. I only seen wet poop this time especially since it was warm yesterday and all the poop they just pooped since I shoveled it 2 weeks ago was wet. Can't wait to move them outside next month. The roo kept hiding but I got one good shot of him. So do we have some barred rocks? The hens looked darker than the roo.

I looked at the breeds and they look like the Barred Rocks but I didn't see any pictures of any of the breeds with the black patched feet/legs.

I don't have any pictures yet. They are all pure breds. No feathers on their legs. Feathers remind me of tiger stripes all bunched together. They are about the size of my RIR hens. Dark red comb and wattles. Not for sure but I think they might of had some yellow eyes. Legs were a yellowish pink with black areas on them.

Could they be a Scots Grey? The guy that got them goes to bird/animal auctions all the time and loves birds so it wouldn't surprise me if they were some rare breed.

doubtful....I don't think barred rock, they have yellow legs. cuckoo marans are pretty common, hatchery stock is anyway. Knowing what color eggs they lay would help best.......
