They're actually from a hatchery, but I want your opinion on the quality of some of my birds.

Remus the fawn Silver Duckwing OEG rooster. I know undubbed combs are a disqualification, but other than that...

Diana the Pearl OEGB hen

Antoinette the Silver Sebright hen

Corona the Sicilian Buttercup hen

Athena the Red Shouldered Yokohama hen(she has much more color on her underbelly)

Chanticleer the Black tail Buff Dutch Bantam rooster

Vienna the Pyle OEGB rooster

Please give our opinions. Thanks in advance

Remus would need more of a U on his back but other than that he is indeedly handsome!

Diana is lovely, got some sweetness about her. Can not tell by her conformation.

Sebright, I am not familiar with the breed.

Corona, she is a beautiful Buttercup, once she get her comb red, she would be a looker all right!

Not familiar with Yokohama but her tail is longer than usual, so that is one correct thing for her.

Buff Dutch, I am sorry but he does not show DUTCH, more like an OE to me because of lack of white earlobes.

Red Pyle, not familiar with that color but conformation is nice.

All are nice birds for local showing!

The Silver sebright hen looks to have nice lacing. I'm not sure about the way she holds her body cause I'm not really familiar with a sebright's standard. The redpyle wouldn't be of good quality to show. The "red" color needs to be darker, and more of it needs to be on the shoulder area (saddle). The dutch would be disqualified.

I'm unfamiliar with pearl OEGB's and buttercups.

The bird that the hatchery (and I can guess which one it was) sold you as being a Dutch bird is very far indeed from being a Dutch Bantam.

I would recommend that you not show that bird as a Dutch bird in any ABA/APA sanctioned show. It would not do well.

As a breeder of purebred Dutch, it irks me that hatcheries are crossing Dutch with other breeds to get colors like this, and then passing them off as the real thing (see my website for pictures of Dutch to compare to your bird.)

Don't get me wrong, he's a very nice bird I am sure, but he is not a Dutch bird. What he looks like is a Jap crossed with an OEG.

I think that people who wish to show birds should consider finding other sources than hatcheries, as generally hatcheries do not sell birds that are showable in anything other than the more basic 4-H level shows.

Both the Fawn silver Duckwing& the Sebright look big [bulky]-the Sebright's type is wrong. The Duckwing is long in the back-nice feather quality & colour though.
The Buttercup's colour pattern is very indistinct. Good comb-can't tell much about type from this picture.
The Yokohama needs more colour. Too short in the body & tail is carried too high.
The Dutch simply isn't a Dutch.
The Red Pyle is way too pale in hackle, saddle & wing bar.
They appear healthy & well cared for. You did your part but they just aren't show birds.

There are no hatcheries that sell real Dutch, and any Dutch you purchase from a hatchery will not be worth showing. If you want real Dutch you must buy them from a breeder. See this link for a list of members of the American Dutch Bantam Society:

http://www.dutchbantamsocietyamerica.com/breeders/Breeders.html

Any of those breeders would be happy to sell you real, purebred, not-crossed-with-who-knows-what Dutch Bantams.
