I've hatched and raised a pile of coturnix quail but never dealt with bobwhites. This ad says Bob whites but they sure do look alot like coturnix to me. Do they all kinda favor at a certain age? Just wondering incase I decide to get back into quail.

These are bobs as advertised and ringneck pheasants
If planning to get some, you may want to check permit requirements for your state
Personally, i would stick with coturnix if I were you 😉

I got 'stopped dead cold' at the first pic....thought someone is trying to pass off pheasants as quail! :gigbut then scrolled down to see the 2nd pic of the quail chicks!

Your in Alabama, the heart of Bobwhite country, Southern Plantation hunting, so yes, you will need a permit...it will also 'cover' the pheasants, if you choose to get some of them too!
