A friend gave me a couple of eggs to hatch. They hatched may 24, so they are 14 weeks old. I've gone back and forth on these 2 several times. I suspect cockerel, but EE have such varied DNA that I'm not sure. Also the ISA Brown hens have such large combs and wattles that I couldn't believe they were hens!!!

Given enough time, they'll make for an excellent dinner or two.
yep I also have 2 saphire gem roosters.. They are way bigger, ready to eat. Plus I want the potential blue egg gene. One of the 2 gets spared..

so out of the original 22 chickens, that makes 8 roosters. I bought 12 as pullets!!!!

If you’re looking for blue egg genes…who’s this?
