My indoor pigeon pair laid these eggs 8-9 days ago. When candling the eggs I see lots of healthy blood vessels, but half the egg is completely empty.

Eggs develop like that some times, I might see it like that in a chicken egg day 6 or so, I would think a pigeon egg would be more developed on day 9 did you get the dates wrong?
Thanks for replying. No, I’m sure about the dates and marked them on a calendar. They seemed to be developing normally until now. I’ve never seen eggs split down the middle like this.

We sometimes encounter thing out of the usual. My suggestion is to check/candle these eggs in 4 or 5 days. If they look the same, then no hope.:( If they do look more developed, then leave them be.:jumpy Just because they were laid 9 days ago, does not mean that pigeon automatically started incubating them at that time.
You do not include your location, so we do not know if weather is a possible factor in this case.:idunno
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and:welcome
