Egg #8 was laid a couple hours ago.

Now it sits in the egg shell pile waiting for a buddy. These two will be the last that can be incubated. (No cabinet incubator and waiting for the dirt bike parts to show up) Seriously considering letting Goose give it a go after the next egg

They were vocal and displaying when I went to pick it up. Im going to assume that Goose has been busy with her…

Why not, they just gave you 8 eggs. Who knows maybe they'll hatch out another three.

There’s quite a lean going on in the two 12/14 eggs!

Very heavy in the pointed end. After reading Pyxis article, answered my question on why it’s leaning so much. Didn’t get this far with the shipped eggs.

She left another yesterday. Set the two last night. Thought the incubator would be considered full… nope! 4 more can go on the rails in between

I left the two leaning eggs out for a few minutes, the pointed ends did stay warmer but still not getting hopes up too high. We’ll see how the next week and a half goes! The first two eggs are smaller than the others. It also looks like hatch day, if it happens, would be earlier than 2/4. More like 1/31.

I keep having flashbacks from the shipped eggs… I set one of the eggs out on a chair and stood a .22 LR round up as an antenna. Then stared at the egg for several minutes. Whistling and staring at it like a psycho that has lost their marbles.

Fertile!!

Took out the 12/16 egg and stood the .22 round on it. Multiple tiny wiggles. Thought I was seeing things, then it happened again. Couldn’t deny it that time. The 12/14 eggs haven’t wiggled.

That's great! How many days to go?

If the 12/14 eggs have developed, then hatch day would be between 1/30 & 2/4. The temps ran on the higher side.

I’ll need to get a hatcher set up and a brooder.
