Willy laid another egg. She just doesn’t stop!
That’s #30. There are now 4 outside and no signs of Goose doing his job. As soon as I can, going to hobble out and grab them and put them in the incubator.

Was just researching and it says they can lay up to 50!! Who knows, maybe she's got another 20 in there!

Hope not! The incubator has been running since February 5th lol now it’s getting close to babies hatching right around vacation time. I would just be worried sick about the little ones in the care of my teenagers.

I haven’t hobbled out to grab the eggs yet, but I really should. I’ll head out and get them inside to warm up before going into the incubator.

Still leaning towards female. But their website updated yesterday to “Testing in Progress” and I’ve checked it about 15 to 20 times since then lol no answer yet.

Almost lost the little one a couple hours ago. Put it down for a nap so I could do some work, went to check on it and it got stuck inside the cloth cover of the heating pad. It was breathing fast, eyes closed and it’s body was limp. I cooled it down and ran its feet and legs under cool water. After about 5 minutes, it worked. Scared the living crud out of me. The heat pad is only set on the lowest setting, but if it can’t get away from the heat, it’ll surely overheat. I’ll be fixing that asap!

Not broken, thank goodness! Hopefully just need to keep it braced and rest it for a bit. Swelling will hopefully go down soon.

Came home with this Sunday instead of that big trophy. Sorry, doesn't sound like all the positive thinking worked out as we hoped.

Once the dirt starts flying you will forget about hatching emus. After that then you won't be able to get home soon enough. Just maybe Goose will be sitting on his nest and 3 new babies in incubator when you get home with that big trophy you are going to win. Sounds like you just might have a very good weekend. It’s all good! Was fun and knee is getting better already. Next race is next weekend, but 100 miles this time.
