I think you need one of those old school perpetual bird dipper things. It would be very cute and even practical!

27 hatched, 28 actually but it’s brain was outside of its skull. Not bad for shipped eggs! Really really didn’t want to use a brooder this time. So one hen took on the task. I kept putting chicks under her and all were accepted with open wings lol

Should have an update on the young mus once I get them a pen set up outside. They’re currently still in the run under cover with no grass :/

The little pen works, kind of. Goose reaches through the large fence openings and nips at the young ones. As you can see, they’re still figuring it out…

Goose and Willy’s female child is the larger one.

Still working through who is going where. There’s more pasture lower in the property, but not good fencing. Monies aren’t available to finish any part of that project, so just trying to make things work for now. Should hopefully be hearing some emu breeding noises into the next couple months
