Sooo, grabbed an egg this morning (#17) and stuck it in the bushes until we got home from our ride. Thought nothing of it.

Then my daughter calls and says she found an egg by the fence and I assumed it was the one that I grabbed and hid this morning. Nope! She found another one, but it was covered in mud and looks small. Curious if this egg was laid last week or if it was laid a month ago 🤔

Anywho, I guess today’s egg is #18. They’re both going in the incubator this evening after warming up a bit.

You have a really nice set-up, and everyone is getting along so well! I had no idea emus were so docile, either.
Ours aren’t aggressive to people because they were hand raised. It makes a big difference for them if they’re people raised vs self or bird raised. But little humans have to be careful. They will get stomped on. Anything small is treated like a threat.

Swear I saw some tiny wiggles in the second 1/7 egg 🧐 hard to tell for sure though. The other one is moving around pretty good. Just so worried it’s going to die like the last one 😕

Both 1/13 eggs are alive 🤗 tiniest of wiggles in both. Humidity staying between 36% and 42%. Temp is solid at 96. 8. SO glad I got that incubator!
