Are these going to Hatch?

Some of the eggs look good. Others look like they may have stopped developing and then died, or never started at all. Candling is best done in the dark with the light source isolated and shining through the air cell, not the middle of the egg. Can you candle them again and shine the light through the air cell, and maybe use a flashlight and wrap your hand around it to make sure the light is being directed into the egg only?

These pictures make it hard to tell what is going on, since they are candled through the side. For example, egg 5 looks like it might be alive, but it's hard to tell because of how it's been candled. Egg 4 looks like it has quit and is now dead, but again, with the way the candling was done it's hard to be definitive.

If you can redo it and get pictures, it would really help tell which are alive and which are not. This is how an egg should be candled, with a flashlight shining through the air cell:

Note the blood vessels in the last posted picture. It is alive. As for species of egg it does not matter; all eggs develop about the same-just at different rates. No distinct vessels-the embryo has died.

By the last one I think you mean the last picture, which is egg 4? That one is probably dead. What is showing is a blood ring where all the rest of the blood vessels have disintegrated and pooled. The yellow coloration instead of a good healthy orange is another clue that it's quit. I would love it for the OP if that one was alive, but I really think it has died :(

But again, better pictures with the egg candled through the air cell are really needed to tell which are good and which aren't. If I was guessing from these pictures, I would say egg 5 is definitely alive, egg 6 might be, (and also appears to be further along, so I'm thinking that other hens have been adding eggs to nest, which could be a problem), and eggs 7, 2, and 3 are maybe alive but better pictures are needed to confirm. Egg 9 and 1 look like they might not have started developing at all, or might be very recent additions not yet showing life, and for the rest I don't even want to guess without seeing better pictures :)

We also need OP to confirm if it's possible that other hens have been adding eggs to the nest as this one has been sitting.

With only eight days before hatching the eggs should be dark or mostly dark.

Might help, but...

Thanks for the clarification :) I thought you were replying to the OP, lol, and meant the last picture they posted. My bad!

If all the eggs were as far along as they are supposed to be, then for sure they should all look like egg six :) But, I'm suspicious that other hens have been laying in this hen's nest and adding eggs as she has been sitting, resulting in a lot of eggs that did not all start incubation at the same time and are now at different stages of development.

Maybe blood vessel will show on different pictures. I looked at the pictures again and there is a hint of what may be vessels. If so then there will be a staggered hatch; one with a big range.

Hey you lot I am @Clubber1234 s sister and I just wanted to tell you that all the eggs except for 3 had moving red things in and I think they are chicks.
Also we do not know the exact time she went broody and we just guessed the 10th of February!!
