I posted these guys a couple of months ago and I got some opinions that they might be OEGB but I recently saw a pic of someones on here( I can't remember which) where they had Japenese BAntams and they looked like these. So I just wanted to get some opinions on them.......

Here are some pics....

This is a pullet( I posted about her gasping and I have her on a special mash diet, She looks100% better!!

This is to show how small she is......I think she may be a splash.

This is a roo, I thought he might be a gray Japanese Bantam???

I believe they are 18 weeks old( 4 1/2 months) and they are VERY small....

Thanks for any opinions in advance!

It's hard for me to say because they could also be OEGB's. As young as they are and with my limited experience with bantams I would say they could be Japs but I'm just not sure.

One of the characteristics of Japanese bantams is wings and tail held at a particular angle. The second bird has those characteristics. The first doesn't, really (at least, it doesn't seem like it in the picture you shared).

Here's a pic from Feathersite just so you can compare:

However, another thing about Japanese bantams is that they have very short legs. Both of your birds are very leggy.

I am wondering if your birds are some kind of cross?

I can't tell from these pictures what they are. What I can tell is what they absolutely are not & that's Japanese Bantams. The Feathersite picture shows what Japs look like.

Those look like OEG to me Japs are more short legged and they are Chunky

The roo looks like a Silver Duckwing and the hen looks mixed but they are not Japs
