my yard has several pecan trees both native and cultured. are pecans safe for chickens?

also the area we have the future coop (can't move it too heavy!) there are China Berry trees. the local birds eat them but are they safe for chickens?

we also have some mistletoe I am trying to get rid of. again I know the wild birds eat it

TIA

CHINABERRY TREE (Melia azedarach); fruit, bark; plant contains convulsants.

MISTLETOES (Phoradendron spp.); leaves, stems, berries; gastrointestinal tract affected by toxalbumins; plant also causes dermatitis.

great

thank goodness pecans and pear trees are ok.
wonder if hubby will cut down those chinaberry trees?
they are huge! and the branches are breaking in the winds storms

I gotta say again that a list from the Reptile Keeper's Handbook on a business website that is no longer in the poultry business just seems plain odd

.

However, here's one for humans:

UCDavis

and, here's one for livestock:

West Virginia University

and, here's one for veterinarians

:

Merck Veterinary Manual

ALL, list chinaberry as toxic . . . including, as Autumn T notes, that list for the iguanas

Just sweep a bunch into your drive way, run over them, and sweep them out. Your guys and gals will have a field day!

we have so many pecans we free-cycled about 10 people hauling off 5+ grocery bags each last summer

I am so glad to have somewhere besides the mower for the nuts to go!
