i have 3 hens ( 2 cornish X and 1 leghorn) i think. all 3 months old.
i read that if there are no roosters then hens will act like a rooster and crow and not lay eggs.
is that true?
and i dont know if my hens are females.
i dont know how to put pics on this message.
Can some1 tell me?

You have to save you pics on your computer where you can find them. Then go to "uploads" near the top of this site. Then "browse" to find your pic. "Open" and "Summit". It takes a few seconds, or minutes, depending on your internet speed. Then your pic is added. "Go Back" then "my uploads". Highlite, right click, and "copy" your "image" part. Come back to your post and right click, "paste".

Hope that helps. And

If you have hens only, it's actually somewhat rare that one will take over the role of the rooster. It does happen, but not very often.

i cant find my pics so here's the website that has all of the pics
when they were about 1.5 weeks old.
the first four are the pics of the females (i think) the last two are males that i returned.
are they females?

Your leghorn is definitely a female - I also see two female cornish rocks pictured - the ones with the small combs. Top two pics are white leghorn pullets, middle two pics are cornish cockerels, bottom two are cornish pullets. They're a lot older than 1.5 weeks in the picures.

On your cornish rocks - I wouldn't think it would make a difference male or female, because they are meat chickens and won't live more than a few months anyway. Your leghorn will be a great layer.

i dont want to butcher them so im trying to make the cornish Xs old enough to start laying eggs. i excercise them a lot, let them go free range and limit their feed.
