Hi, I am new to the chicken world. Love my chickens, wanted them for years and finally talked my husband into it. We have a flock of 9, 2 of them are looking a little different. I do though have different breeds so in that respect they do all look different. These 2 though are pretty dominant and the red one which is my Rhode Island Red, Cinnamon she is starting to crow well it sounds like she is trying but just in the early stages. Both are the same ages, about 15 weeks old. I think the white one is a Brahma, all though the breeder told me it was a silver laced something or other. What do you all think, is my cute little hens roosters? they both are super friendly though. Cinnamon and sparkles both will eat right out of your hands and they both come up to greet you. They are awaiting there permanent home which is the coop that we are building this weekend in the back yard, they will be so happy.

The RIR is definitely a cockerel. A better pic of the white one would help. Brahmas should have feathered legs (or at least SOME leg feathering depending on the quality), so I think you need to keep looking for breed ideas.....

thanks so much, so miss cinnamon is a mr cinnamon. The white one does have a 1 feathered leg but was wondering if that one was also a rooster as well. The feathers around her neck look different more prominant than my other brahmas, I have 3 others ones.

Agree, yes on cockerels, but that's not a brahma. Comb is all wrong, and no leg feathering, and while the legs on a brahma are yellow, the Sussex has white legs... so I'm not sure what this guy is.

One of my white and black ones has feather on their feet, so maybe it was one of the others ones. I love them all the same but if I have only 9 chickens, 2 roosters might be a bit much, do you think they will fight over the hens, I wouldnt want that. The breeder I got them from said I could bring back any rooster I get luckily.
