Are These Rouens And Is One A Drake??

If you have Rouens, they are extra large and built more like a box than like a duck.

I didn't look at your photos, but of you have a solid white duck, it is most likely a Pekin. Unless it is very small, because Calls also come in solid white.

If your ducks are "gray", which is what typical Mallard color is, the ducks will be brown and the drakes will be gray with green heads and neck rings while they are in nuptial plumage and they will be brown when in eclipse plumage..

Neck rings usually indicate males, unless it is a badly mis-marked spotted duck. The curled feather on the tail is not reliable. It can be pulled out and some drakes do not have the curled feather while they are in eclipse plumage.

Voice sexing is the most reliable way to sex mallard derivative ducks.

If your gray ducks are very small, they might be Mallards. If they are very big and have a pronounced keel, they are probably Rouens. If they are gray and neither vary small or large and box shaped, then what you have are gray colored ducks.

Well, I can't figure out how to see your pics. LOL!! Still figuring out the new system.

But I can tell you that I bought 3 "rouens" from TSC last spring, and I figured out they were mallards when the all flew over my house one day.

I really wish I could see the pics!
