Clip their wings! It's not hard. I started clipping our pet cockatoo's wings when I was about 11 years old. If a kid can do it, you can, too! Just make sure you look up how to do it or have someone show you who knows what they're doing. Our vet showed me. You just want to make sure you clip the right feathers and don't accidentally clip skin or bone.
