Are these truly blue laced red wyandotte chicks?

Just got this reply

"Those are the right chicks."

Well...that sucks. I've seriously recommended them to so many people. I KNOW they sell hatchery quality birds that sometimes don't look like the right breed, but 6 pure whites?! How are those considered blue laced red wyandottes?

Needless to say, I'll not be saying anything good about them in the future. Guess I shoulda just accepted the refund rather than offering pics. I cannot believe they pass these off as BLRW.

Katy ~ I definitely should have gone elsewhere. I won't be now. I'm thinking blrw just weren't meant to be part of my breeding plan. You can bet when I try to place these guys, I will not be selling them as blrw. We'll see if they even resemble wyandottes, at that.

I'm not even going to bother. I'll consider it an almost $40 lesson learned. I gurantee they'll lose more $ than that from business that I recommend go to other hatcheries. There's three people alone at work that want to order chicks. I'll definitely be recommending somewhere else.

My BLRW bantam chicks that arrived frozen looked just like your yellow and "blue" dusting and the one I revived has been interesting to watch feather out and grow...she has no lacing to speak of and I'll have to get a pic of her tonight after work, have NO CLUE what she is BUT!!!

I am VERY HAPPY with her body weight and if I wanted to raise meat chicks, whatever she is, I'd be happy to have a flock of her kind to keep for eggs and then eat...

Pics of her tonight!

That'd be awesome to see a pic!

And yes, they eat a TON! Was yours a piggy? I almost thought they might have sent me cornish by mistake! *sigh* They are pigs!

She's a happy lil "round" cornish game hen who seems to be yellow and "blue"

She's not looking so round now that took a pic of her...took a break from work and here she is:

Yeah, definitely doesn't look like a blrw, huh?

WELL, I got another e-mail from Ideal saying disregard the previous e-mail, someone else had answered and she was still not sure so was going to have the owner look at them and then get back to me. That was a week ago.

Nothing since then.

I ordered BLRW bantams in 2006 from Ideal and some were paler. I can't recall in detail what they were like but they weren't dark like the other person's post. However, they all did feather in correctly. Took them a while to really look good but they were gorgeous. I kept them just about 3 months and sold out of my chickens so I never saw them fully mature.
