I am a little worried about the detatched air cell though. If there is anything possibly growing in there, I am hoping it can find the air when it's time to hatch.

The air cell is there. It's completely detached and floats all over the place. It's hard to see in the pictures, but it's at the top of the egg in all of them.

If anyone could give me tips on how to eliminate the camera glare, I could probably get some better pics. Everything is the wrong color when I snap a photo! Too bright, too fuzzy, and none of the fine details that I am seeing. It's frustrating.

I tend to have a morbid curiosity about these kind of things, so I might open it up and see what it looks like inside tomorrow. This is a blood ring, right? Or something else that means it never even tried?
