Are these worms I found in the manure box? - Update: Yes Roundworms

I managed to get all the old ones to eat a piece of bread with half a dropper full of Valbazen. Unfortunately the broody grabbed a bite of hers and then tried to feed it to her babies! So hopefully nothing bad will happen to them for eating some of the bread.

The other thing is timing - we have a vacation coming up and I can't dose again in the 10 day period - it would have to be either 8 days or 17 days before I could dose with Ivermectin. Does anyone see a problem with me dosing in 8 days with the Ivermectin pour on? Or should I repeat the Valbazen in 8 days and then wait the 10 days for Ivermectin?

I dosed all the layers - that means everyone except the 4 babies & 1 teen. My 14 week old cockerel got a double dose because he ate some bread and then ate someone else's bread. And I didn't intend to dose the teens anyway - so I didn't bother to dose the other cockerel yet.

It was remarkably easy this time to put the dose on the bread and then hold it out for the intended chicken - the hardest part was not letting anyone else get the bread from my hand first.

Didn't find any new dried roundworms or worm looking things in anyone's poo this morning. Since I didn't see any new worms would that mean that the Valbazen is working? Would I be able to see the dead worms in their feces or would their bodies absorb the dead worms?

I did notice that there were a few areas of really dark almost black poop. But I didn't see any blood or worms in the manure box.

Those are tapeworms you described as having horizontal lines which are actually attached segments. Forget ivermectin, use the valbazen again. Withhold their feed for 24 hours prior to redosing with valbazen and increase the dosage to 1cc for standard size birds.

Really? But I don't think they are tapeworms because they don't look like the pictures of tapeworms I've seen on google, but they do look like the roundworm pictures I've seen. The horizontal lines are like earthworm style lines. So should I still just use Valbazen?

They are definitely roundworms - I found a dead - not dried out - one in a poo pile in the manure box. I think it's from one of my Lav Orps - since that's where she was sleeping last night and the other day the dried one had a grey feather attached so it makes sense that it's one of them. I just don't know which one. They all appear normal and healthy. I'm still dosing everyone since I don't know where she got the worms or whether anyone else has them too.

Here's a pic of the dropper I used for the dosage - I put .5mL of valbazen on a piece of bread and fed it to each girl - is that sufficient dosage? I'm not sure I understand what a "cc" means.

Since they were dried up, in the pic they appeared to be a little flat and of course you mentioned horizontal lines, seemingly tapes....no matter. Valbazen will kill them all whether it's roundworms, cecal worms, tapeworms, capillary worms etc...
You dosed them correctly. CC is the same as ML. Repeat dosing again in 10 days, 1/2ml/cc.
