Are these worms?

Pulled these out of my hens intestine that passed suddenly. Are these worms? If they are what kind? Will safeguard be good to treat these? It’s all I have on hand

I'm sorry about your hen! Those look like large roundworms. You can use safegaurd, but it's not FDA approved for laying hens. Here's a site you might find helpful: http://www.poultrydvm.com/condition/roundworms
It lists all possible treatments and doses.
Also, you may want to check your eggs, as in some cases roundworms may travel through a hens reproductive track and become encaased in an egg. Don't worry too much, they're easy to see and when cooked they'll die, you may just want to be a little bit careful.

Yes those are ascarids. Sounds like your hen was probably loaded with them as your other chickens likely are. I would probably recommend Valbazen because it slowly kills the worms over a period of 3-4 days time so the dead worms aren't likely to clog up the intestine and kill the bird. I don't know if Safeguard slowly kills worms like Valbazen does or not. @dawg53, @casportpony, @Kiki, @Wyorp Rock

Yes Safeguard will treat those.
I would treat your whole flock...at the same time.

Sorry for your loss. Yes, those are worms, they are large roundworms, and they can be treated with any type of Safeguard or Panacur (fenbendazole). What type of Safeguard do you have?

Actually, it is approve for laying hens to treat large roundworms and cecal worms. The FDA approved dose is 1 mg per kilogram for five consecutive days.

I don't know if Safeguard slowly kills worms like Valbazen does or not.

They both work the same way.
