On sunday, one of my chickens pooped pure skinny pink worms. I decided to treat the whole flock of 5 with safeguard aquasol- .05 ml in 4 cups water per day. that’s their only source of water, but it’s been raining a lot and the ground is damp. it doesn’t look like they drank much at all. i’m on day 5, and don’t think i was successful. what do i do now?
i’m new to this and doing my very best.
thank you!

How long were the worms? Did you snap a picture of them? I am not a fan of the new Aquasol, since it only treats roundworms and cecal worms. It does not have an egg withdrawal time, which is good. But you never know if they are getting enough of a dose with something added to the water. The dosage is confusing, and I don’t know if your dosage is correct or not. You could lock them in the run for a 2 days treatment, and even wet some chicken feed with a little of the treated water. I prefer using a wormer such as albendazole 0.08 ml per pound once and repeat in 10 days, or 10% fenbendazole (SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer or the horse paste) given 0.23 ml per pound orally to each chicken for 5 days. Those when given at the proper doses can treat capillary and gapeworms as well.
