Two of my ten week old Delaware’s have started showing some irregular yellowish blotches in their white feathers. I’ve attached a picture of one.

Does anyone know what these are?

Yellow patches looks like someone pick her after dinner looks like turmuric stains

& other things are her genes
My gamebird had same yellowish feathers under his back they are shiny & glossy it cayss of his mix breed

I think some amount of genetic "brassiness" in the feathers is common for Delawares unless they are show stock, then I think they're not supposed to have it. Not certain about that though.

Sometimes the sun causes feathers to yellow , and certain feeds or forage can cause yellowing too.

The short answer is no, the yellowing of white feathers does not indicate poor health or disease.

Causes of yellowing are genetics, feed such as cracked corn and even eating green veggies and grass, the sun bringing out the brassiness in the while plumage, and one of the biggest causes is having the misfortune of getting pooped on.

How were able to give her a bath?
i take my show birds inside, run some warm water in the tub, massage baby wash in the feathers, spray the bird down with the shower head, dry them with a towel, blow dry them on warm until all down is dry then put them in a cage with food water and shade over half to completely dry.
