How old are they? The one in front may be a hen the comb is very pale, I can't see the one in the back.

I think I see a possible saddle feather on the one in the back, so it might be a roo...however, full body shots individually or at least so you can see the whole bird would really help.

From the photo given, they look close to maturity....but I'd need to see better photos.
