Are they CCL's?? Was supposed to be Easter Egger........

Ok, so. I have three crested chickens. All 4 weeks old. They're supposed to be Easter Eggers, I understand that some EE's can be part CCL, which is fine, but this place claims all their EE's are auracana/ameracauna mixes. So I'm thinking they gave me straight up CCL's.

They were all in the same bin. CCL's AND EE's . I'm ok with either breed but just getting irritated at this point because they already gave me one olive Egger when I wanted 4 EE's so if I somehow have no EE's ....I'm not going to be very happy lol.

Do you have any pics of them as day olds?
Also are they hatchery stock?
I am sure someone will be along to help you, as I am better at telling for sure as day olds!
They defiantly look to have CCL in them, however I wish I could say if they are 100% CCL, but I can't really tell.
They look to be a mix, but again i am no expert!

I'm guessing by your description that you bought from a either a backyard breeder who runs a mixed flock or someone who hatched purchased eggs. Either way, putting them all in the same bin with no markers is your clue that they don't consider the differences between these chicks to be as important as you do.

There isn't anything to do now but wait and see how they come out. They obviously have some CCL traits and I don't see any muffs so you may have straight up CCL or you may have CCL crosses (which are also called Easter Eggers by those who breed them).

Update!!!!
I was able to get ahold of the farm i purchased them from!!
To answer your questions: yes-- i got them locally (support local business, you know) and from a place that actually has a good reputation. They are a local farm that sells chicks year round but it is a small scale operation.
Anywho. These chicks ARE CCL's as i suspected. The farm does not breed CCL's in their Easter egger mixes and these chicks were all in the same bin, so the guy just gave me CCL's instead of EE's. Must have been a pretty big mix up because he had stated to me they band their rare breeds, and i saw bands on the other chicks in there so idk how these THREE got away without bands, someone messed up obvs.
Funny story is that the 4th chick that was also supposed to be an easter egger.......isnt! Shes an Olive Egger, so this place has a 0/4 winning streak with choosing the right breeds. SMH, i feel like thats pretty bad
