So we got a dozen fertile eggs from a local farm. No idea what kinds. Mostly brown eggs, a couple green and cream ones. Today was day 21, about 5 hours ago. Only 8 eggs made it to lockdown. 1 wasn’t fertile. 2 smelled bad at about day 10. And 1 had weird goo seeping out of it and looked like a black mess when I candled it. As soon as they went into lockdown 2 eggs started rocking. The next morning nothing. Nothing has moved or peeped since. The temp has been between 99 and 101 since we got them home. Humidity stayed around 40 until lockdown when we upped it to 60-65. We have a still air incubator but added a fan inside to help air circulation. Should I be worried that they haven’t moved or peeped or anything in almost 72 hours? This is my first time with chickens. I’ve done quail in the past successfully so I’m super worried about these guys. Thanks in advance!

Your best bet now is to candle them again. They started rocking around on day 18? Is that when you went into lockdown? When did you add the fan?
If you added the fan at lockdown and had the temp around 99-101degs. that is a little low for still air, temp needs to be around 102 so that could be why your hatchlings are late but that does not explain why they would be so active on day 18. Candle and see what you can see. Hopefully your oozing egg did not contaminate the rest of them with bacteria.
