I am new but so far by what I can tell is that Still air table top incubators are ok to use and witha little advice and luck you can have good results with them but that most people that are serous abut wanting to hatch eggs like the the ones with fans and as fancy as they can afford. Sorry if that wasnt at all helpfull
I used them for many years before I broke down & bought a cabint incubator.
I hatched hundreds in not thousands in them.
If you follow the directions the incubator will do it's job just fine.
you need to make sure to keep them in a room that has a stable temp. otherwise your temps will be all over the place. i have a hovabator 1602n that i use for hatching.
I just got the hovabator 1602n. So far I really like it. It has been keeping a steady temp without problems. I only have 5 eggs in, two fresh and three I had in the fridge. I just candled on day 7 and the two fresh have good veins and two of the fridge eggs have good veins and the last fridge egg is clear.
Still air incubation can be extremely successful, and has been for generations.
The learning curve is steep though, and most of the still air incubators you will see are cheap products, cheaply made and difficult to use. Not saying it can't be done
There are some excellent still air icubators, but they are VERY expensive.
